Susie grew up with her Mum and Grandma using both conventional medicine and complementary healthcare and has since strongly believed that an integrated approach to healthcare is one of the keys to well being.
Whilst living and working in Japan she experienced both acupuncture and shiatsu, which sparked her interest in the field.
Acupuncture is powerful natural form of healthcare that has been clinically shown to effectively treat a wide variety of acute and chronic ailments by highly individualising treatments for each person, allowing therapy to be tailored exactly to each patient's needs. It can provide drug free pain relief, help boost the immune system and encourage the body back into balance promoting good health.
She graduated with first class honors from Salford University, England and brings to the table over 7 years of practical experience in Acupuncture. She also has a degree in Medical Biology, which she completed in 1998.
Susie has practiced Acupuncture in both England and Australia. Before coming to Sydney in 2008 she did completed post-graduate training at the prestigious Beijing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Beijing, China.
Community health projects have always been important to Susie. She was thrilled to work with Ray Ford for 2 years in the Community Acupuncture Clinics around Sydney.
During this time she also managed the founding of a free acupuncture clinic for people diagnosed with HIV.
